Corrected versus uncorrected errors
A corrected error is a wrong attempt later removed with backspace. An uncorrected error remains different from the target in final text. KeyVelocity displays both: final WPM rewards correct output, while attempt accuracy retains corrected mistakes because the original movement still interrupted rhythm.
Why accuracy matters
Reliable text reduces review, rework, and misunderstanding. It matters especially when entering identifiers, numbers, support messages, or code where a single character can change meaning. Raw pace without control is not productive speed.
How to improve typing accuracy
Slow down enough to recognize error patterns, keep your hands relaxed, and practice only after the test identifies a repeatable weakness. Train common words and letter pairs around that key, then retest the same duration. One error is not enough evidence to label a key weak.
